Douliou is a city where the axis of Yunlin county administration stations. Geographically, it is located at the meeting point of Kukeng mountain area, Chianan plain, Choshui valley and Nantou mountain area. With the help of its various distinctive advantages, such as the moderate climate, the fertile plain, the flourishing water supply, the citizens’ simple lifestyle, and the stability in society, it has far from the past become the center part of Yunlin county in politics, economy and business. Today, it is struggling hard for becoming one of the big sociological and high-tech metropolises in near future.

Ho-Ping, myself, the mayor, is a genuine Douliou local, born here and grown up here. Ever since I took office, I have not only done my best to inherit this city’s previous traditional merits but I have also endeavored to make this city become one of the most appropriate places for residents to live in, along with upgrading their living quality. Up to the present, there have been a variety of constructions undertaking steadily. Take Biehuan Road (北環路) building for example, whose lastly fourth phase (Jenshi Overpass鎮西陸橋) construction is coming to be completed. The moment the Biehuan Road (北環路) building is completed, the city’s entire transportation network will be completed too. As for the other projects, like rebuilding the old shabby commercial complex, setting up the cross-railway stations, making an internationally standardized baseball field, establishing a big stereoscopic Wuhua parking lot, beautifying greenery scenic spots, increasing leisure-oriented interests, conducting various art-literature activities, ...etc, they will be achieved one by one. In a word, I have dedicated myself to making Douliou become a splendid enviable e–city. Namely, Douliou will be flourished in all dimensions, in agriculture, in industry, in business, in art, in literature and in leisure-oriented development.

Ho-Ping, together with all my administrative team-colleagues, with an idea of innovation, efficiency and citizen-oriented service, decides to set up a global information network, which, transcending and precluding any obstacle in time and space, will be the handiest and most communicable passage. Through it, Douliou citizens can either contact us easy or get as much comprehensive information as possible.
