History
The word of " Douliou" came from Pingbu
aboriginal tribe's language. The Hoanya tribe
of Pingbu aborigines , who cultivated this area,
would utter in a loud and threatening sound of
“Dou-Liu-men”deer harvest. Afterward, it was translated
into Mandarin by the pronunciation of Taiwanel.
That is so called “Dou-Liu-men”. In 1940, this
area was set up to be as Yunlin County. Douliu
has become the county town, being the center of
politics, economy, transportation, culture and
educatio.

Area: 93,7151 square kilometers. Location: Douliu
is located in the east of Yunlin county the east
is Lan Ton County :Chusen Town , the south is
linked with Kuke Town; the west is linked with
Huwei Town; the north is Ching Tung and Lin Nei

Douliument
The circle fountain -Douliumen in Douliu City-
is a new landmark in Yunlin County The fountain

are the old streets with about one-hundred-year

Park

Catholic Church
The Catholic Church , built with the reinforced
concrete in 1891 (the 17th years of the Kuanghsu
Period), is located on Chung-Hua Road. It was
reconstructed in 1955. The material of the church
is terrazzo, providing simplicity and practical
purposes. The design of the first floor is doorjamb;
solar is on the top of the second floor. Beam
is the fundamental design, forming a European
classical style.

Chi Memorial Hall
The citizens of Douliu area gather money to build
the Hsingchi Memorial Hall to memorialize the
Prince of Japan, who visited
Taiwan before his ascending the throne in 1915
It was built with bricks and woods , located in
the center of public
open field .It is surrounded by Chungcheng Park
parliament ,firebrigade station , and Youth Corp.
etc.The newly-built covered parking lot is above
Yunlin County.

Valley
Yuching Valley is located above the top of Maple.
The landscape is beautiful .You can hear natural
sound everywhere like a paradise off the city.

Temple
Husen Temple , being behind the mountains but
in front of caters, commands a fine view.
The solemn temple, reestablished in 1959, is built
magnificently. The newly-built temple is two-story
palace architecture. You should take steps to
worship the Budda. On the both sides of the temple
glow all kinds of green plants .It makes the temple
more tranquil to practice Buddhism.

Lake
The lake is famous for having a big , old
maple tree. The age of the tree is around
500 years old.
The magnificent tree is very skyey, hoary
and old. This area is rich in environmental
resources. For exsample, the eight-colored

The area of cultivation for pomelos is about 200
hectares. The quantity is fairly remarkable after

Planning. To improve the quantity of this fruit,
the Douliu municipal administration holds evaluations
of pomelos with Council for Agricultural Planning
every year, it winning many times the first place
among all kinds of fruit. It's also well-known

first and second floor. The third and fourth floor
are for parking. The fifth floor is organized
